It only took a couple months for me to be jostled back to Earth.

I guess it began with Candice coming up to visit me. We were studying for my Brit Lit exam (she was quizzing me) when Chad walks up to say hi. I told him that the room was open and we were just studying because Candice was afraid to go in the classroom. He went in, and then she was like "Okay, do you want to go in?"

So, we went into the room and she sat in Emily's seat and began to quiz me. In the middle of it, Chad turned around to ask about the Orsino and Olivia question. We then began talking about the awful poems and he said that he wrote the garden was about...a garden. I told it was about finding a paradise and being in solitude.

I failed the exam. I didn't know the 11 passages I needed to. We only needed to answer 9, and I'm pretty sure I only got 2. They were worth 15 points each. Oops.

I walked out of the exam to find Candice in Starbucks and said, "Well, I failed." She left to go to the restroom and then I saw Chad coming down the hallway. We started laughing when we saw each other and I was like "Well, I failed, how about you?" and he looked at me with wide eyes and said, "I failed. I didn't know ANYTHING."

We talked for a long time about how we failed and Candice came to join us. He told me that he got a passage about being in paradise and said "There was your voice - telling me what you said before the exam...and I still got it wrong!" Then, he left and then Candice turned to me with...

"He's gay."

Ohhhhhh...

Everything makes so much sense now. I don't know - I'm not sure if she's right sometimes, but his Facebook and his smiles and everything would make sense. Guys don't like me or talk to me usually and the only ones that do are usually gay. Richard and Dan and urgh...

She said he treats me like a good friend. Yeah.

I dunno. I've been in a bad mood since then. John Green announced that he and his wife are having a baby and all I could think about was "so, he's been lying to us all this time, great" and I'm still not over it. I don't know, it may be because I failed an exam and Candice is all "RUIN ASHLEY'S HOPES."

I need to write some romance.
